Version: Metagloves Pro Haptic
Compatible Hardware

The MANUS Metagloves Pro Haptic are professional haptic data gloves designed for high-precision hand tracking with integrated tactile feedback. Built on MANUS’ EMF tracking platform, the Haptic edition combines detailed finger motion capture with real-time vibrotactile response for robotics, teleoperation, XR training, simulation, motion science, and embodied AI research.
Where the standard Metagloves Pro focus on precise hand data, the Haptic edition adds a layer of touch feedback that helps operators feel interaction cues, object contact, grip confirmation, and motion guidance in real time.
With detachable haptic top modules, swappable batteries, persistent calibration profiles, and SDK support, Metagloves Pro Haptic are built for teams developing high-fidelity interaction systems, dexterous robotic control, and immersive training environments.
Features
- High-Precision EMF Tracking: Advanced EMF tracking captures detailed finger motion with high accuracy and no optical occlusion, making the gloves suitable for robotics, XR, simulation, and motion science workflows.
- Integrated Haptic Feedback: Built-in vibrotactile actuators provide tactile response across the fingers, helping users feel contact, interaction cues, grip confirmation, and guided motion feedback.
- 25 Degrees of Freedom: Captures a full anatomical hand model, including fine finger movement and joint-level detail for lifelike digital hand reconstruction.
- Real-Time Vibrotactile Control: Haptic feedback can be controlled at high speed, allowing teams to build responsive interaction systems for XR, teleoperation, simulation, and robotic manipulation.
- Detachable Haptic Top Module: Electronics and connectivity are built into a removable top module, allowing teams to move modules between compatible glove textiles for multi-user use.
- Fast, Persistent Calibration: Calibration profiles are designed to reduce reset time across sessions, battery swaps, or user changes.
- Swappable Battery System: Interchangeable batteries support continuous workflows, multi-session use, and production environments where downtime matters.
- SDK & Custom Development: MANUS SDK support enables custom haptic patterns, robotics control models, AI interaction environments, and advanced simulation workflows.
- Professional Integrations: Stream motion data into supported platforms including Unreal Engine, Unity, MotionBuilder, Xsens MVN, OptiTrack, Qualisys, and other MANUS Core-supported pipelines.

Tracking Environment Note
MANUS Metagloves Pro Haptic use Electro Magnetic Field (EMF) tracking to deliver high-precision finger movement data. Like other EMF-based tracking systems, performance can be affected by strong magnetic fields, large conductive metal objects, magnetized tools, motors, or nearby electronic devices that interfere with the local tracking field.
For best results, avoid operating the gloves directly against large metal objects, active motors, magnetized tools, or electronics that may generate magnetic interference. In these environments, users may experience temporary tracking jitter, drift, or reduced positional accuracy. Performance typically improves when the gloves are moved away from the interfering object or device.
For robotics, teleoperation, and industrial use cases, we recommend testing the gloves in the final working environment, especially when the workflow includes robotic hands, metal tools, motors, machinery, or electronic equipment near the operator’s hands.

Software
For new deployments, choose MANUS Core Motion Capture for motion capture, animation, previz, and XR workflows, or MANUS Core Robotics for teleoperation, data collection, robot learning, and developer workflows. Both are available as annual subscriptions or perpetual licenses. Existing Core 3 perpetual licenses continue to run; MANUS support and updates for Core 3 end December 31, 2026.
Use Cases
MANUS Metagloves Pro Haptic are ideal for workflows that require both accurate hand tracking and tactile interaction feedback. They are especially useful for robotic teleoperation, dexterous manipulation, embodied AI research, XR training, digital twins, immersive simulation, motion science, ergonomic research, and high-fidelity animation.
The added haptic layer can improve operator confidence, spatial awareness, and interaction realism by giving users tactile confirmation during virtual or remote manipulation tasks.
FAQ
What is the difference between Metagloves Pro and Metagloves Pro Haptic?
Metagloves Pro focus on high-precision hand and finger tracking. Metagloves Pro Haptic add integrated vibrotactile feedback, allowing users to receive tactile cues during XR, robotics, teleoperation, and simulation workflows.
Are MANUS Metagloves Pro Haptic fully magnetically immune?
No. The gloves use EMF tracking, which is highly accurate in normal operating environments but can be affected by strong magnetic fields, large metal objects, magnetized tools, active motors, or nearby electronics.
Can I use the gloves around robotic hands or metal tools?
Yes, but performance depends on the robot, tool, and environment. Robotic hardware, metal end effectors, motors, and industrial equipment may cause interference, so the setup should be tested before production use.
What happens if there is magnetic interference?
Users may see temporary tracking jitter, drift, or reduced positional accuracy. Moving away from the interfering object or adjusting the workspace usually improves tracking quality.
Can the haptic feedback be customized?
Yes. The haptic system can be customized through MANUS software and SDK workflows, making it suitable for custom XR interactions, teleoperation cues, training scenarios, and robotics research.
Who should choose the Haptic version?
Choose Metagloves Pro Haptic if your workflow benefits from tactile feedback, such as robotic teleoperation, dexterous manipulation training, XR simulation, embodied AI research, or immersive training where users need to feel interaction cues.

Product details
Overview
Replacement Top Modules for MANUS Metagloves Pro Haptic — a pair, left and right. The Top Module is the electronics half of the system: hand module, battery, and wireless dongle. It detaches from the sensor glove, so one set of modules can serve several users.
How the Pro Haptic system splits
A complete Pro Haptic set is two parts:
- Top Modules — this product. Electronics, batteries, wireless dongle.
- Sensor Gloves — the sized textile with fingertip sensors and per-finger haptic actuators.
What's on the module
- Interchangeable battery with release latch and status LED
- USB-C port for wired operation and charging
- Power / pairing switch
- Glove status LED — green solid wired, blue solid wireless, blue breathing connecting, white blinking pairing, red blinking low battery
- Module release latch — three-step lock to the sensor glove, no tools
- Universal Adapter mount for Xsens, optical, VIVE, or Quest tracker adapters
Battery count changed July 2026
Top Modules ordered from 1 July 2026 include 2 batteries instead of 4. If you're matching an older set, budget an extra battery set.
When to order spares
- Add actors without buying complete systems
- Redundancy on production shoots and teleoperation rigs
- Shared facilities rotating modules across sized gloves
- Repair after electronics damage rather than replacing the whole set
Compatibility
- MANUS Metagloves Pro Haptic Sensor Gloves — sizes M, L
Not interchangeable with standard Metagloves Pro modules — the Haptic modules drive the finger actuators. See Metagloves Pro Top Modules for the non-haptic version. Requires MANUS Core 3.0 or later.
