FORCE-FEEDBACK GLOVES

SenseGlove

SenseGlove makes force-feedback exoskeleton gloves: Nova 2 for VR training and research, and R1 for tele-robotics. The exoskeleton stops a finger where a surface is instead of vibrating, so a wearer feels its shape and stiffness. R1 has separate licences for driving a TESOLLO or Seed Robotics hand.

Why SenseGlove

Force feedback, not vibration

The exoskeleton stops a finger where a virtual or remote surface is, instead of just buzzing to signal that contact happened.

Nova 2 for VR training

A wireless glove with active contact feedback in the palm plus force and vibrotactile feedback, aimed at training and research use.

R1 for tele-robotics

A 1 kHz control loop renders a robot hand's grip force back to the operator's fingers, for millimeter-level precision tasks.

Real hand integrations, listed

R1 has model-specific integration licences listed here separately, so a teleoperation stack can be specified end to end.

SenseGlove Buying Guide

01

Choose Nova 2 or R1

Nova 2 is the wireless glove for VR training and research. R1 is the tele-robotics glove, built to drive a physical robot hand.

02

Add the matching integration licence

R1 needs a licence written for the exact hand you are driving; today that covers the TESOLLO DG-5F and the Seed Robotics RH8D.

03

Plan Nova 2's position tracking

Nova 2 tracks the fingers on its own, but position tracking needs third-party hardware such as a Meta Quest or an HTC VIVE tracker.

04

Ask about a custom R1 build

SenseGlove will work with enterprise customers on custom R1 configurations for a specific sensor set or form factor; tell us what you need.

Frequently asked questions

How is force feedback different from haptic vibration?

A vibrating glove signals that contact happened. SenseGlove's exoskeleton instead stops your fingers from closing any further once they reach a surface, so you feel where it is and how rigid it is. For handling and grip-dependent tasks, that is the difference between noticing an object and actually manipulating it.

What is the difference between Nova 2 and R1?

Nova 2 is the wireless glove built for VR training: it adds Active Contact Feedback in the palm on top of finger tracking and force feedback, running on a rechargeable battery for a few hours of use per charge. R1 is a different product built for tele-robotics: it drives a physical robot hand through a 1 kHz control loop, with millimeter-level, 20-degree-of-freedom finger tracking and bidirectional force feedback reported back from the hand's own sensors.

Which robot hands does the R1 work with?

The integration licences listed on this page cover the TESOLLO DG-5F (both the DG-5F-S and DG-5F-M configurations) and the Seed Robotics RH8D with fingertip force sensors. Each licence is model-specific: it maps the R1's finger model to that exact hand's kinematics and, where the hand supports it, its fingertip sensors back to the glove. If you are pairing R1 with a different hand, ask us before ordering and we will confirm what is supported.

Does Nova 2 need extra tracking hardware?

Yes. Nova 2 tracks finger movement on its own, but position tracking (where the hand is in space) needs third-party hardware. SenseGlove's own documentation lists the Meta Quest 2, 3 and Pro, plus HTC VIVE Focus and XR Elite wrist bands and VIVE Pro trackers, as supported position-tracking options.

What does an R1 integration licence actually include?

It covers the software mapping: hand-to-hand retargeting between the R1's finger model and the target hand's kinematic model, plus a ROS 2 and Python interface for teleoperation workflows and demonstration-data logging. The R1 glove itself and the robot hand are sold separately and are not part of the licence.
