Why Teams Choose Metagloves Pro Haptic

Teams choose the Haptic edition when the operator needs to feel the interaction — remote manipulation, dexterous robot control, and training where tactile confirmation changes the outcome.

Feel What You Touch

Vibrotactile actuators across all five fingers give operators contact, grip and guidance cues during remote or virtual manipulation.

Robotics-Grade Hand Data

25 DoF EMF finger tracking at 120 Hz with no optical occlusion, built for teleoperation, dexterous manipulation and embodied AI research.

Detachable Top Modules

Electronics live in a removable top module, so one set of modules can move between glove textiles across a shared lab or training floor.

Built For Long Sessions

Swappable batteries and persistent calibration profiles keep sessions running through user changes and battery swaps without recalibration.

Features

  • INTEGRATED HAPTIC FEEDBACK—Five LRA actuators deliver vibrotactile response per finger at 120 Hz with 256 intensity levels, so operators feel contact, grip confirmation and guided motion cues.
  • HIGH-PRECISION EMF TRACKING—Five 6-DoF electromagnetic fingertip sensors per glove capture detailed finger motion with no optical occlusion and no camera line of sight.
  • 25 DEGREES OF FREEDOM—A full anatomical hand model with joint-level detail supports lifelike digital hand reconstruction for animation, simulation and robot control.
  • DETACHABLE TOP MODULES—Electronics and connectivity sit in a removable top module, so modules move between compatible glove textiles for multi-user deployments.
  • SWAPPABLE BATTERIES—Interchangeable batteries and persistent calibration profiles keep multi-session and production workflows running without recalibration.
  • SDK & PIPELINE INTEGRATIONS—MANUS SDK support plus streaming into Unreal Engine, Unity, MotionBuilder, Xsens MVN, OptiTrack and Qualisys via MANUS Core 3.

Product details

Overview

The MANUS Metagloves Pro Haptic are professional haptic data gloves designed for high-precision hand tracking with integrated tactile feedback. Built on MANUS' EMF tracking platform, the Haptic edition combines detailed finger motion capture with real-time vibrotactile response for robotics, teleoperation, XR training, simulation, motion science, and embodied AI research.

Where the standard Metagloves Pro focus on precise hand data, the Haptic edition adds a layer of touch feedback that helps operators feel interaction cues, object contact, grip confirmation, and motion guidance in real time. This listing is the size L pair.

Tracking Environment Note

MANUS Metagloves Pro Haptic use Electro Magnetic Field (EMF) tracking to deliver high-precision finger movement data. Like other EMF-based tracking systems, performance can be affected by strong magnetic fields, large conductive metal objects, magnetized tools, motors, or nearby electronic devices that interfere with the local tracking field.

For best results, avoid operating the gloves directly against large metal objects, active motors, magnetized tools, or electronics that may generate magnetic interference. In these environments, users may experience temporary tracking jitter, drift, or reduced positional accuracy. Performance typically improves when the gloves are moved away from the interfering object or device.

For robotics, teleoperation, and industrial use cases, we recommend testing the gloves in the final working environment, especially when the workflow includes robotic hands, metal tools, motors, machinery, or electronic equipment near the operator's hands.

Software and Adapters

Third-party adapters, including VIVE and Xsens adapters, are sold separately. Software licenses are uploaded directly to the glove dongle (Bluetooth receiver). All MANUS Core 3 software licenses purchased 1 January 2026 or later include multi-actor functionality.

Use Cases

Workflows that require both accurate hand tracking and tactile interaction feedback: robotic teleoperation, dexterous manipulation, embodied AI research, XR training, digital twins, immersive simulation, motion science, ergonomic research, and high-fidelity animation. The haptic layer improves operator confidence, spatial awareness, and interaction realism by giving users tactile confirmation during virtual or remote manipulation tasks.

FAQ

What is the difference between Metagloves Pro and Metagloves Pro Haptic?
Metagloves Pro focus on high-precision hand and finger tracking. Metagloves Pro Haptic add integrated vibrotactile feedback, so users receive tactile cues during XR, robotics, teleoperation and simulation workflows.
Are the gloves immune to magnetic interference?
No. The gloves use EMF tracking, which is highly accurate in normal operating environments but can be affected by strong magnetic fields, large metal objects, magnetized tools, active motors or nearby electronics.
Can I use the gloves around robotic hands or metal tools?
Yes, but performance depends on the robot, tool and environment. Robotic hardware, metal end effectors, motors and industrial equipment may cause interference, so the setup should be tested before production use.
What happens if there is magnetic interference?
Users may see temporary tracking jitter, drift or reduced positional accuracy. Moving away from the interfering object or adjusting the workspace usually restores tracking quality.
Can the haptic feedback be customized?
Yes. Haptic patterns can be customized through MANUS software and SDK workflows, which suits custom XR interactions, teleoperation cues, training scenarios and robotics research.
Which software license do I need?
Every pair runs on MANUS Core 3. Depending on your pipeline you can add XR, Optical, Xsens or SDK licenses, sold separately and uploaded directly to the glove dongle. Knoxlabs can quote the gloves and the right license together.
Which sizes are available?
Metagloves Pro Haptic are available in M and L. Contact our team if you are between sizes or need to size a multi-user deployment.
