Xsens Awinda Starter is the accessible entry point into full-body inertial motion capture. Its strap-based wireless trackers fit over normal clothing, making it especially practical for education, group use, basic biomechanics, animation, and training environments.

- 60 Hz; approximately 30 ms latency; up to approximately 20 m wireless range.
- Body sensors
- Both systems use 17 wireless body sensors. Full Awinda lists an additional prop sensor; Starter lists no prop sensor.

- Old-generation sensors are approximately 6 hours; newer generation approximately 12 hours.

- Full Awinda uses a station and charging stations; Starter uses a USB receiving dongle and sensor USB charging cables.
