Product details
Overview
Equip both fingers of a Robotiq 2F-85 with XELA uSkin sensing and read the tactile data on a compatible computer. The robot coupling, gripper control, and tactile wiring are specified for your setup.
Included hardware
- 1 × Robotiq 2F-85 Adaptive Gripper — Base gripper. Robot-specific coupling and device cable are separate.
- 2 × XELA uSPr 2F tactile fingertips — One sensor per finger. Base selection: X1A00000A, standard calibration, no magnetic compensation.
- 1 × esd CAN-USB/2 adapter — X9B01000A with USB cable; sensor data interface for a supported Windows or Linux host.
- 1 × XELA CAN-DE9 cable — X9C00100A. Confirm connector pinout and the complete harness with XELA before ordering.
What is needed for the full setup
- Gripper motion: Confirm the robot model and flange, Robotiq coupling and device cable, 24 V DC supply, and the RS485/Modbus RTU or supported robot controller interface. For a bench setup, specify a fixture and a supported host control interface.
- Tactile readout: Confirm the fingertip harness or interconnect, CAN pinout, sensor supply, termination, adapter drivers, and XELA uAi readout software for the host OS. Each fingertip has an integrated microcontroller; confirm whether the selected configuration needs any separate interface hardware. The USB-powered esd adapter does not supply sensor power.
- Integration and acceptance: Check fingertip clearance, workpiece grip and load limits. Validate both fingertip streams and gripper motion before integrating logging, timestamps, or feedback.
Ordering
Quote only. Tell us your robot or bench setup, workpiece, host OS and desired data or control workflow. We will confirm the bill of materials, lead time, and any installation or commissioning before order.
The kit hero illustrates the components; the supplied cable and connectors are confirmed in your quote. A robot arm, host computer and closed-loop control application are not included.

Features
- Two-finger tactile sensing—Two uSPr 2F fingertips measure normal and shear forces across 48 sensing points.
- Separate data and motion paths—Use the CAN adapter for tactile readout; specify Robotiq power and control separately.
