Overview

Seven models from 3 kg to 20 kg payload and 625 mm to 1,650 mm reach, with plus/minus 0.02 mm repeatability on the smaller arms. The i-Series is built to drop into a line as it already exists: compact footprint, mounting to floor, wall, or ceiling in any orientation, and typical deployment inside four hours.

An untrained operator can program a first task in under 30 minutes using drag-and-drop on the teach pendant. The flange carries an RS485 interface, 8-pin I/O, and a drag-teach button for direct peripheral communication without a trip to the control cabinet. The i-Series delivers 10 to 20 percent faster working speeds than the previous generation, with upgraded encoders for repeatable trajectories run after run.

Used in machine tending, assembly and screwdriving, dispensing and gluing, inspection, 3D scanning, palletizing, and laboratory and education work.

Control box and teach pendant

Control box AUBO-CB-iS: 400 × 160 × 320 mm, 12.5 kg, IP43, 115/230 VAC 50/60 Hz. Robot cable 5 m (customisable to 8 m), teach pendant cable 4 m, power cable 5 m. Teach pendant AUBO-TP-iS: 254 × 213.1 × 40.8 mm, 1.0 kg, IP54.

Control box I/O: 16 general plus 8 safety digital inputs, 16 general plus 8 safety digital outputs, 2 analog in, 2 analog out, 2 RS485, 24 V at 3 A max. Tool end I/O: 4 configurable digital in, 4 configurable digital out, 2 analog in, 1 RS485, 0/12/24 V at 2 A (3 A max).

Open architecture

SDKs in C, C++, C#, Lua, Python and JavaScript for 32- and 64-bit Windows and Linux, with ROS and ROS 2 support. Communication over Ethernet TCP/IP, ModBus-RTU/TCP, Profinet, and optional EtherNet/IP. AUBO publishes a virtual machine for sandbox development, so integrations can be built and tested before hardware arrives. Every arm uses an ISO 9409-1-50 tool flange, so standard end-of-arm tooling bolts on without an adapter plate.

Safety

Ten configurable levels of collision detection and sensory safety. On power loss every joint engages a braking system and holds position, including under load. Sixteen safety I/O interfaces use a redundant design so safety functions survive a single port failure. Certified to recognised industrial safety standards; request the current certification package for your specific model and application.

Service and support

AUBO Robotics USA provides service and technical support from Romulus, Michigan; stock availability and ship-from location are confirmed on quotation, with US-based technical phone support, RMA handling and a training facility. Joints are individually modular, so a single joint can be swapped rather than returning a whole arm.
