Overview
VR orthopedic rehearsal with visibility across your training program. PrecisionOS Institutional combines individual practice capabilities with program-level reporting on resident progress, simulation use, and training gaps for faculty and Clinical Competency Committee discussions.
Institutional access: tailored quote
PrecisionOS publishes no fixed institutional price. Share learner count, training areas, reporting needs, device strategy, and rollout timing with Knoxlabs so the quote can define your software access, hardware, setup, and support.
Build a repeatable program routine
Assign practice around upcoming rotations and cases. Learners can use structured FractureLab Courses, queue modules from the mobile app, and revisit specific skills between supervised clinical experiences. Faculty can use simulation activity as one input to mentoring and curriculum planning.
Give faculty a program view
The institutional plan adds on-demand, accreditation-aligned reporting for CCC meetings. The vendor describes resident progress, simulation usage, and training gaps alongside the underlying individual practice tools. Clinical independence remains a faculty judgment made in the operating room.
PrecisionOS presents a 21-month implementation involving 30 residents, 2,566 sessions, and seven subspecialties. Its example illustrates how a program can review participation over time; it does not establish a guaranteed result for another institution. Explore the institutional example and demos.
Rehearse the spatial skills behind the procedure
PrecisionOS puts anatomy, instruments, and procedural decisions into a virtual operating room. The Digital Cadaver Lab spans hundreds of skills across 27+ specialized apps, including trauma, arthroscopy, shoulder and elbow, spine, pediatrics, foot and ankle, and arthroplasty. Practice can focus on instrument positioning, wire trajectory, imaging, or a complete case.

Connect your phone, practice session, and feedback
- Choose a training goal. Use the mobile app to find a case relevant to your rotation or skill gap.
- Queue the procedure. Send it from your phone to the VR Launcher, using the same personal account on both devices.
- Practice and review. Complete the exercise, then review case activity, scores, milestones, and feedback to decide what to revisit.
Delphi, the vendor’s AI mentor, supports recommendations and personalized feedback and is currently described as beta. BodyWorks follows a separate direct-launch route from the headset library.
Build scenarios and practice with a mentor
FractureLab’s Create a Case lets you construct a fracture scenario, record a reference fixation, and repeat the exercise. Courses provide structured learning paths. Supported Collaborate sessions bring participants into the same virtual lab for synchronized practice; confirm available apps and entitlements when planning a session.
Prepare your setup
For new deployments, PrecisionOS recommends Meta Quest 3 or Quest 3S. You need the free iOS or Android companion app, the VR Launcher, and a personal PrecisionOS login. Only one VR session can be active on an account at a time. Complete the vendor onboarding course, keep apps and headset software current, and confirm Wi-Fi access before training.
Headsets and accessories are separate from software access unless your Knoxlabs quote includes them. Knoxlabs can coordinate compatible devices, provisioning, MDM enrollment, asset tags, shipping, and activation planning.
Coordinate accounts, devices, and reporting
Decide whether each learner receives a headset or shares a managed device. Keep practice tied to personal accounts, define faculty review responsibilities, and plan access to hospital Wi-Fi with IT. PrecisionOS support can help transition an individual account to an institutional license so existing learning data can be retained.
Ask Knoxlabs to scope the number of devices, provisioning, MDM enrollment, accessory kits, asset tagging, fulfillment, and an activation schedule. Institutional case-sharing and collaboration workflows should be confirmed against the apps and access included in your agreement.
Learn from resident and faculty experience
In PrecisionOS’s Andrew Maeso case study, personal headsets enabled at-home rehearsal of femoral nailing and shoulder arthroscopy, with faculty collaboration before an upcoming procedure. His account also distinguishes rehearsal of sequence and spatial understanding from the tactile feel of operating.
The WVU faculty case study describes a ten-minute weekly preparation routine focused on camera orientation, triangulation, and probe control. Faculty used that preparation to spend more teaching time on strategy and judgment. These are vendor-published experiences, rather than promised outcomes for every learner.
Explore research and product development
The Resource Hub links peer-reviewed work on orthopedic skill acquisition, shoulder and elbow simulation, and remote surgeon education. The product article library covers FractureLab, performance data, virtual rounds, and clinical credibility. Review individual studies for their participants, methods, and outcome measures.

How is institutional pricing determined?
The vendor publishes no fixed institutional rate. Share learner count, specialties, reporting needs, devices, and rollout timing to build a quote.
Does requesting a quote start billing?
No. Requesting a Knoxlabs quote does not start a subscription or authorize recurring charges. Licensing, entitlement, and activation are confirmed before an order.
Is a headset included?
A compatible headset is separate unless your Knoxlabs quote expressly includes hardware. PrecisionOS recommends Meta Quest 3 or Quest 3S for new deployments.
What is Delphi?
Delphi is the vendor’s AI training mentor for practice recommendations and feedback. PrecisionOS currently describes it as beta.
How do mobile and VR progress stay together?
Use the same personal PrecisionOS account in the mobile app and VR Launcher. Only one VR session can be active on an account at a time.
Can I create a custom case?
Create a Case in FractureLab supports custom fracture scenarios and a saved reference attempt. Confirm institutional sharing and app access in your quote.
Can residents practice with a mentor?
The vendor describes Collaborate Mode for synchronized multi-user rehearsal. Check the supported app and access requirements before scheduling a session.
