Overview

SenseGlove R1 is a haptic interface for robotic teleoperation and imitation learning. Track hand movements and render grasp feedback through an integrated robotic system, with active finger forces and eight vibration actuators per glove.

Features
  • Active finger feedback: Motorized channels on the thumb through ring finger can resist or actively pull the fingers. There is no pinky force-feedback motor.
  • Contact cues: Eight LRA actuators per glove: one at each fingertip and three in the palm strap.
  • Robotics development: A Python API and ROS 2 wrapper support Windows and Linux workflows. Robot mapping and feedback depend on your integration and robot sensing.
  • Research workflows: Develop teleoperation, grasping experiments and imitation-learning data collection with a robotics engineering team.
Specifications and requirements
  • Up to 1 kHz API throughput for one glove, or 0.5 kHz for two, depending on CPU with the GUI closed. Approximate one-way R1-to-PC latency is 10 ms; filtering and system configuration affect delay.
  • Exoskeleton tracking covers all five fingers. Manufacturer linkage measurements do not establish a guaranteed finger-position accuracy for every user.
  • Four active force channels and eight vibration actuators per glove.
  • USB-C connection through the R1 link box; use the supplied charger and specified cables.
  • Python API and ROS 2 wrapper for Windows / Linux workflows. External tracking is required to determine wrist position.
Packages and pricing

Academic / R&D — $20,125 per left-and-right set. This includes the $17,500 MSRP plus a $2,625 provisional U.S. import tariff allowance (15%). Self-integration by your robotics team is required. Confirm academic software eligibility and licence terms with Knoxlabs.

Industry Exploration and Industry Implementation are project packages. Select a package to see its current listed price, then request a quote to confirm engineering scope, included hardware, software licence term, travel, integration charges and import treatment. Single-hand configurations require a separate quote.

There is no product-price credit-card surcharge. Shipping is calculated separately at checkout and covers supplier-to-Knoxlabs freight plus delivery to you. Applicable sales tax is separate.

Robot integration and mounting

Robotic hands, external tracking and model-specific integration licences are separate unless included in your quote. Confirm the exact robot model, sensing, mapping and mounting hardware with Knoxlabs. TESOLLO and Seed Robotics integrations may require a separate model-specific licence. The Nova 2 included-mount arrangement does not establish free R1 adapters.

Delivery

R1 is produced in allocated batches. Confirm the available production slot and delivery date before ordering. A date confirmed for an existing purchase order does not establish timing for a new order.

R1 or Nova 2?

Choose R1 for physical robot teleoperation and imitation-learning development with active finger-force control. Choose Nova 2 for VR training and simulation with finger resistance, palm contact and vibration. Ask Knoxlabs to confirm the complete setup for your application.

See the R1 API documentation, installation requirements and manufacturer hardware overview.

FAQ

Is the R1 a complete robotic teleoperation system?
R1 provides the wearable haptic interface. Robotic hands, external tracking and model-specific integration licences are separate unless your quote includes them. Feedback from a robot requires a working integration and suitable robot-side sensing.
Which package price includes the tariff allowance?
Academic / R&D is $20,125 per left-and-right set: $17,500 MSRP plus a $2,625 provisional U.S. import tariff allowance (15%). There is no product-price credit-card surcharge. Shipping and applicable sales tax are separate. Industry project packages require confirmation of scope, hardware and import treatment in a quote.
Are R1 adapters and integration licences included?
Confirm mounting hardware and robot-specific software in your quote. The Nova 2 included-mount arrangement does not establish free R1 adapters or licences. TESOLLO and Seed Robotics integrations are model-specific and may require a separate licence.
When will my order ship?
R1 production is allocated in batches. Contact Knoxlabs to confirm your production slot and expected delivery before ordering; dates quoted for an existing purchase order do not establish delivery for new orders.
