Frequently asked questions

Can I buy Google's Android XR glasses right now?

No. Google has publicly demoed these glasses and named eyewear partners, but has not announced final hardware, availability or pricing. Knoxlabs lists the three previewed listings to track the category, not as a product you can order today.

What is the difference between the Gentle Monster and Warby Parker versions?

Both listings describe the same Android XR platform and Gemini assistant paired with a different eyewear partner's frame design; no other functional difference is documented.

Do the glasses work without a phone?

Based on Google's own demos, no. The glasses are designed to work paired with a phone rather than to replace one, which is how Google has shown messaging, navigation and translation working.

How does this compare to Magic Leap 2?

Magic Leap 2 is an established enterprise AR headset with a mature see-through display. Google's Android XR glasses aim for a lighter, phone-connected, consumer-facing form factor, but Google has not finalized specifications, availability or how the glasses will reach buyers.
