What is Moverse Capture?

Moverse Capture is a markerless full-body motion capture system that uses AI and smart cameras to digitize human movement in 3D.

Unlike traditional motion capture systems, Moverse Capture does not require suits, wearable sensors, markers, or batteries. It captures body motion using a multi-camera setup and processes the movement locally on the user’s PC.

The platform supports real-time capture, live streaming, take management, camera parameter control, post-processing, re-rigging, and export workflows for game development, animation, virtual production, XR labs, life science research, and biomechanics use cases.

Who uses Moverse Capture?

  • Universities and research labs
  • Creative media schools
  • Game development studios
  • Film, VFX, and animation studios
  • XR companies and mixed reality labs
  • Life science and biomechanics teams
  • Industrial teams capturing human movement for training or AI/robotics models

Key benefits of Moverse Capture

  • No body-worn sensors: Capture full-body motion without suits, markers, batteries, or wearable tracking hardware.
  • Fast setup: Place supported cameras, complete calibration, and begin capturing movement in minutes.
  • Local processing: Real-time motion processing runs on the user’s PC for low-latency workflows.
  • Multi-camera capture: Supports setups from smaller capture volumes to larger studio-stage environments.
  • Production-ready workflow: Supports reprocessing, re-rigging, live streaming, and export to common 3D formats.
  • Works with creative pipelines: Supports workflows for Unreal Engine, Unity, Blender, MetaHumans, FBX, GLB/GLTF, TRC, Mixamo, and ActorCore.

Moverse Capture FAQ

Do I need a suit or markers?

No. Moverse Capture is markerless and uses AI-driven computer vision to identify skeletal movement from supported camera feeds.

Which cameras are supported?

Moverse Capture supports Luxonis OAK cameras, including OAK-1 W USB, OAK-1 W PoE, and OAK-D W PoE.

How many cameras do I need?

The required number of cameras depends on the capture volume and use case. Smaller setups may use 4 cameras, while larger studio setups can use 8 to 16+ cameras.

Can it track multiple actors?

Yes. Depending on the selected license and camera setup, Moverse Capture can support multi-actor tracking.

Does it support finger or facial tracking?

Moverse Capture includes post-processing through the Moverse Portal for high-fidelity body and finger tracking. Facial capture can be supported through third-party tools such as Apple ARKit / Live Link Face.

Can I stream into Unreal Engine or Unity?

Yes. Moverse supports live streaming workflows into Unreal Engine and Unity, including virtual production and MetaHuman workflows.

What file formats can I export?

Supported export workflows include FBX, GLB/GLTF, TRC, and standard rig presets such as Mixamo and ActorCore.

How long does calibration take?

Calibration is typically completed in a few minutes using a calibration board. As long as the cameras are not moved, recalibration is usually not required between sessions.
