Overview

Feel what the robot feels

TouchDIVER Pro brings WEART's professional haptic glove platform into robotic teleoperation. The operator can control a robotic hand while receiving tactile feedback from the robot in real time, making remote manipulation more natural than visual feedback alone.

WEART has completed a teleoperation stack with full ROS2 integration, high-resolution finger tracking, and bidirectional force feedback validated on real hardware. When the robot contacts an object, resistance is returned to the glove across the fingers and palm so the operator can feel contact, grip firmness, slip, and the amount of force being applied.

Sold in pairs.

Teleoperation Highlights
  • Bidirectional haptic feedback: Sends operator hand motion to the robot and returns touch information from the robot back to the glove.
  • Force feedback across the hand: Six actuation points cover all five fingers and the palm for realistic grasp and contact cues.
  • High-resolution finger tracking: Captures detailed hand and finger motion for precise robot control and human demonstration capture.
  • ROS2-ready architecture: Built around WEART-Core Linux middleware, modular ROS2 nodes, and a remapping layer for robot-specific integration.
  • Simulation-to-hardware workflow: Validate the full loop in simulation before deploying to physical robotic systems.
Why Tactile Teleoperation Matters

Most teleoperation systems are one-directional: the operator sends commands and watches the robot respond. TouchDIVER Pro closes the feedback loop. The operator can feel whether contact has been made, whether a grasp is firm or slipping, and whether more or less force is needed without relying only on cameras or sensor dashboards.

Applications
  • Industrial manipulation: Remote handling of parts, tools, and components in constrained or hazardous environments.
  • Surgical and medical robotics: Teleoperated work where force feedback can help reduce the risk of applying too much or too little pressure.
  • Embodied AI and data collection: High-fidelity human demonstrations for robot learning and manipulation datasets.
  • Research and development: Rapid prototyping of manipulation tasks with a modular stack and sim-to-real validation.
  • XR training and virtual prototyping: Realistic manipulation of virtual objects with force, texture, and thermal cues.
Features
  • Multimodal haptic feedback: Co-located force feedback, texture rendering, and thermal cues for lifelike interaction.
  • Intuitive SDK: Supports tactile augmentation of XR and robotics workflows through Unity, Unreal Engine, and low-level C++ / C# / Python options.
  • Full hand tracking: Tracks all fingers with 2 mm accuracy for complex gestures and precise manipulation.
  • Easy deployment: Supports standalone headsets and PC-based setups, with WiFi, Bluetooth Low Energy, and tethered configurations.
  • Hot-swappable battery: Designed for professional sessions with minimal downtime.
