Snap Spectacles AR Glasses

by Snap
Overview

Snap Spectacles are standalone true AR glasses built for developers, creators, and teams exploring the next generation of wearable spatial computing. Unlike simple smart glasses or display viewers, Spectacles use see-through waveguide optics, onboard compute, hand tracking, and spatial awareness to blend digital content into the real world.

Designed as an early access AR platform, Spectacles combine a standalone untethered form factor with dual Snapdragon processors, a stereo waveguide display, built-in cameras and sensors, voice input, and full hand tracking. Snap lists a 46° field of view, 37 pixels per degree resolution, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth connectivity, and up to 45 minutes of continuous runtime.

For Knoxlabs customers, Spectacles are best positioned as a developer and pilot-stage true AR device for immersive interface design, research, training concepts, and early spatial application development. They are not a standard off-the-shelf enterprise deployment product, but they are one of the clearest examples of where real AR glasses are heading. Snap also states that the platform is tied to upcoming launches and the consumer debut of Specs in 2026.
